By now I'm sure most of you, or some of you at least, are wondering about all the beautiful drawings that illustrate my stories. I didn't draw them, because drawing isn't my talent, but instead one of my oldest friends, Simone did. She's been my best friend since we were 3 and a half years old. We met in Dhaka, Bangladesh and we both went to the same school (L'Ecole Francaise de Dhaka) and we had a ton of adventures. From eating so many M&Ms our tongues turned blue to pretending we were mermaids and sharks in the ocean, I've done almost everything with Simone.
Simone knew how to make me laugh and we created many games that we could play in the car while stuck in traffic (like imagining that we stuffed each other with gross things; boogers, the world, snails, etc). I remember going to her house almost every Christmas and watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in our pajamas. I remember some of our ballet classes, where we got in trouble for talking during the lesson. I remember so many things but most of all I remember how fun she was.
Now, Simone lives in the USA and I live in Switzerland but we still keep contact. Luckily, she agreed to draw for my blog and today my blog is filled with amazing artwork.
So, thank you Simone! And the people reading this blog!
